Lyn Z, born Lindsey Ann Ballato, is from New Jersey, United States. She's played bass in a few bands including a Dolly Parton cover band. Currently Lyn Z is the bassist for elctro-punk-rock band Mindless Self-Indulgence. She was married to Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance backstage at Projekt Revolution on September 3, 2007, in Colorado. They were married by a venue employee and celebrated over sparkling cider (Gerard has been sober since 2004). In addition to being an amazing bassist and newly wed wife, she is also a traditional artist and she has toured with her work on HUNG, a traveling art exhibit, and in the Projekt Revolution art book.
